Partner City Of The Year
The award is given to a partnership that has demonstrated outstanding activity between the north and the south. Criteria include active involvement from both communities, member exchange, two-way communication, and cooperative projects.

Project Of The Year
The award is given to a project developed within the partnership by volunteers. Following the spirit of the partnership, Wisconsin and Nicaragua partners work together to plan and implement an activity that makes a major impact on civil society.

The Power Of One
Many projects are accomplished because someone had a dream or a vision and then quietly went about using their skills and energy to make something happen. The award is given to individuals who exemplify "the power of one."

The Unsung Hero Award
The award is given as recognition to a person who has gone the extra mile in a quiet manner. The task taken on was accomplished with little publicity or recognition. Without this acknowledgement, few would be aware of their dedication and commitment to the activity.
